Fixed mortgage rates fell for the sixth consecutive week, Freddie Mac reported April 17 in its weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey.
The 30-year fixed-rate dropped 0.07 percent to 4.27 percent (up from 3.41 percent a year ago). The 15-year fixed-rate fell 0.05 percent to 3.33 percent (up from 2.64 percent a year ago).
The one-year adjustable-rate rose 0.03 percent to 2.44 percent (down from 2.63 percent a year ago). The five-year Treasury-indexed decreased 0.06 percent to 3.03 percent (up from 2.60 percent a year ago).
